The Team
MatchPlay Investor Alliance is the brainchild of Sam Lofaro, a local Austinite with a keen eye for profitable opportunities and a passion for worthwhile ventures. His CV recognizes him as a highly seasoned Real Estate Investor with 30+ years as a Corporate Finance and Operations Executive at IBM. His valuation, cost management and pricing expertise allow him to deploy and leverage today's systems and tools in very disciplined fashions. Sam has not only weathered past downturns in Real Estate but has also quadrupled his profitable portfolio over five years and is on track to more than triple it again in two years under the banner of MatchPlay Investor Alliance, Inc.

Sam's son, Steven Lofaro, acts as his business partner and is another Real Estate expert having 12+ years of experience as a Real Estate agent and investor in Austin. Steven runs a Real Estate rehab and design company, Violet Star Home Solutions, that purchases homes in need of rehabbing and remodels them in a way that significantly increases their value (and thus, the surrounding neighborhoods) while still maintaining that classic Austin charm.
Our Philosophy

All of the projects we sponsor are ones that we trust will benefit us and the investors involved but will also be beneficial to the city; whether that means supporting local businesses, making environmentally-friendly choices, or restoring the beauty and culture to an Austin home.
